With over 30 years of experience, Mary Toussaint is the Principal Solicitor and Founder of Toussaints Solicitors. Her career has been defined by a strong commitment to client care, legal excellence, and integrity. She established the firm with a clear vision: to provide practical, accessible, and compassionate legal support to individuals and businesses at every stage of life.
Known for her calm approach, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients, Mary brings reassurance to even the most complex legal matters. Her clients value not only her expertise but also the personal attention she gives to every case.
Outside the office, Mary enjoys gardening, socialising with friends, and participating in community activities. She believes that a balanced life enhances her focus and perspective, and that strong personal and professional relationships are central to delivering excellent legal service.
Evelyn Onus Ukpokolo - Legal Assistant, Toussaints Solicitors
Evelyn holds an LL.B. in Law from Ambrose Alli University, Nigeria, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2008. She began her legal career in the UK as a Legal Assistant with Toussaints Solicitors, gaining valuable experience supporting clients and working on a wide range of legal matters.
Currently based in the UK, Evelyn is preparing for her SRA examinations to qualify as a full solicitor. Her professional experience in care work has strengthened her skills in empathy, patience, and attentive listening—qualities she brings to every client interaction.
Outside work, Evelyn enjoys reading, shopping, and connecting with people. She prides herself on being a good listener and aims to provide clients with not only sound legal guidance but also understanding and support throughout their legal journey.
Albert Thomas - Conveyancing Solicitor
Albert Thomas is a Conveyancing Solicitor at Toussaints Solicitors. He provides clear and practical legal advice in relation to all conveyancing matters.
Albert qualified in Law in India and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2010. He joined Toussaints Solicitors in 2017 and has remained with the firm since that time.
Albert specialises in residential conveyancing and is well regarded for his practical advice, efficiency and commitment to guiding clients smoothly through property transactions from instruction to completion.
U'Semu Makaya - Trainee Legal Assistant
U'Semu Makaya is a trainee legal assistant at the firm, providing management and support on a wide variety of matters (e.g. conveyancing, civil litigation, probate, etc.). A relatively recent addition to our staff, U'Semu brings efficiency and a persistent eye for detail to his work. U'Semu has earned a Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws in recent years; his experience as a student and trainee in the field affords him both a fresh understanding of the contemporary English legal system and a modern outlook on the labyrinthine landscape thereabout.
